Charming 1920's Art Deco shoe Buckle vamp accessory (sew-in attachment type, not an actual buckle or clip-on type.). The ornate "Flower" buckle pattern fashioned from pot-metal cast shoe buckles feature lovely, hand-faceted and mine-cut paste rhinestones. This fancy costume jewelry type pair of buckles is a set- originally sold together.
The openwork filigree of the metal have "beaded" wavy edges & floral patterns pressed into them. On the back of each is a strong clamp with side & top holes drilled that would attach to loose, 1920's leather vamp flaps. You can even still see the leather shoe blacking that had rubbed off onto the clampbuckles when they were originally worn! These terrific accessories can easily be utilized again on 1920's shoes, or cleaned and made into 1920's dress clips, 1920's chokers, bracelet(s) earrings, cloaks or reticule. They can be sewn onto any fabric you can think of, and they are the perfect size and shape to accessorize most things of this period. 42 rhinestones each.
